Precision Medicine, Immunotherapy and Cures for Cancer

Accelerating survivorship close to home
$205 million
GOAL $200 million

Cancer is one of the most frightening words in the English language. We want to bring two other words into the conversation: prevent and cure.

With advances in technology, we can generate a wealth of data on patients and their tumors. Then we can analyze, sort and correlate it. UW Medicine and our regional partners use this big data to advance precision medicine — finding specific treatments and cures based on each person’s unique makeup.

Today, the pace of amazing discoveries is measured in years, rather than decades. Together, we are poised to become the epicenter for breakthroughs in precision oncology, immunotherapy, genomics and big data.

Three final words for the lexicon: we’re beating cancer.
